Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) announced today that Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (MMTh), its exclusive producer and distributor in Thailand, has reached four million units vehicles produced. A commemoration ceremony was held with Thailand government officials and other related parties along with Tetsuro Aikawa, MMC President & COO in attendance.
At the ceremony, Mr. Aikawa said: “I’m very happy to be here with you to commemorate MMTh’s achievement of four million units produced and I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the Thai government and all parties concerned for their continued cooperation and support rendered to MMTh. Moving on we will continue to place our Thai operations as the core of our business, devoting ourselves to producing vehicles that will exceed customers’ expectations, and expand our operations in step with the Thai automobile industry.”
MMTh was established in January 1987 and as the major overseas production hub for MMC and it has been proactively undertaking initiatives of MMC production and export businesses. MMC will reinforce R&D capabilities linked to the production hub according to expansion of production capacity to continue enhancing quality and marketability of MMTh-produced vehicles.
