1. Domestic Production  
(1) December 2012

Mazda’s total domestic production volume in December 2012 increased 9.9% compared to December 2011 due to increased production of both passenger and commercial vehicles.

Mazda3 (Axela): 23,171 units (down 13.1% year-on-year)
CX-5: 18,892 units (up 401.5% year-on-year)
Mazda6 (Atenza): 13,571 units (up 319.6% year-on-year)

Mazda’s domestic production volume in the period from January through December 2012 increased 4.0% compared to the same period in 2011, due to increased production of both passenger and commercial vehicles.

Mazda3 (Axela): 305,107 units (up 0.5% year-on-year)
CX-5: 204,220 units (up 5306.9% year-on-year)
Mazda2 (Demio): 131,862 units (down 13.6% year-on-year)

2. Overseas Production  (1) December 2012

Mazda’s total overseas production volume in December 2012 decreased 19.4% compared to December 2011, reflecting reduced production of passenger cars.

Mazda6: 8,622 units (down 38.2% year-on-year)
BT-50: 7,288 units (up 179.8% year-on-year)
Mazda3: 4,113 units (down 6.8% year-on-year)

Mazda’s overseas production volume in the period from January through December 2012 decreased 2.4% compared to the same period in 2011, due to reduced production of passenger cars.

Mazda’s total domestic sales volume in December 2012 increased 1.9% compared to December 2011, due to increased sales of passenger cars.  Mazda’s registered vehicle market share was 4.3% (up 0.1 points year-on-year), with a 2.5% share of the micro-mini segment (up 0.2 points year-on-year) and a 3.7% total market share (up 0.2 points year-on-year).

CX-5: 2,103 units
Mazda6 (Atenza): 1,567 units (up 486.9% year-on-year)

(2) January through December 2012

Mazda’s total domestic sales volume in the period from January through December 2012 increased 14.9% compared to the same period in 2011, due to increased sales of both passenger and commercial vehicles.  Mazda’s registered vehicle market share was 4.9% (down 0.5 points year-on-year), with a 2.7% share of the micro-mini segment (down 0.3 points year-on-year) and a 4.1% total market share (down 0.4 points year-on-year).
