Mandhir Singh, Vice President – Europe & Africa Automotive Lubricants , Castrol innoVentures, has been confirmed a a speaker in the The Big Picture session at Automotive Megatrends Europe ’13, which takes place on 13 November 2013.
Mandhir joined BP in 1989 after graduating from Leeds University with a PhD in Chemistry. He spent his first seven years in a variety of sales roles before moving to the Centre of BP Group in London, working as a Retail business adviser in Marketing.
In 1997 he moved to Dubai to take on the role of Strategy Manager for the Middle East/Indian sub-continent. In this role he was responsible for defining new business opportunities across the region.
In 2000 Mandhir moved to Singapore to firstly lead the integration of BP and Castrol lubricants across the region and then to be the regional HR director for Asia Pacific. Mandhir took on the role of Strategy and Transformation director for Europe when he moved back to the UK in 2006.
From 2007 to 2010 Mandhir was based in Moscow as the Sales director for CIS, Turkey and Nordics and returned to the UK to lead a global project to define the operating model and ways of working for the BP Lubricants organisation. He was appointed in his present role in May 2011.
