Dr. René Umlauft (49), a member of the MAN SE Executive Board and Chief Executive Officer of MAN Diesel & Turbo SE, has informed the Supervisory Board at MAN SE of his intention to undertake a career change.
In view of this decision, the Supervisory Board will be designating a successor at short notice. The term of Dr. Umlauft´s contract would normally end on August 31, 2014. Until then, Dr. Umlauft is to be granted leave of absence with immediate effect.
“I wish to thank Dr. Umlauft for his untiring commitment to managing the company in a challenging market and competitive environment,” said Dr. Georg Pachta-Reyhofen, Chief Executive Officer of MAN SE and Supervisory Board Chairman of MAN Diesel & Turbo SE.
Until a successor for Dr. René Umlauft has been named, Dr. Hans-Otto Jeske, Chief Technology Officer at MAN Diesel & Turbo, will be taking over the responsibilities of the Chief Executive Officer. In this capacity, Dr. Jeske will coordinate closely with the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of MAN Diesel & Turbo, Dr. Georg Pachta-Reyhofen.
