After an invitation to tender, the procurement office of the German Federal Ministry of the Interior (BMI) offered MAN Truck & Bus Deutschland the contract for the delivery of up to 210 team trucks (MLW IV) for the THW (German Federal Agency for Technical Relief).

The trucks will be the tried-and-tested MAN TGM 18.290 with 4×4 all-wheel drive, leaf-spring suspension on the front and rear axle, crew cab and a wheelbase of 4,200 mm. The platform body/tarpaulin body is equipped with a liftgate and will be provided by Freytag Karosseriebau GmbH & Co. KG. MAN is the general contractor for the entire procurement project of the BMI.
