In the Netherlands, the Royal Dutch Touring Club ANWB and the non-governmental organisation ‘Stichting Natuur &Milieu’ have drawn up the Top Ten most environmentally friendly commercial vehicles.

For the second year in a row, the Fiat Professional brand has received an award for its ongoing research into lowering environmental impact and, above all, the reduction of CO2 emissions. In first place in the ‘Small Van’ and ‘Large Van’ categories respectively are the compact Fiorino, with 109 g/km of CO2 and the versatile Fiat Ducato with 179 g/km. These are both excellent figures in a competitive market which is particularly attentive to environmental issues.

The Royal Dutch Touring Club ANWB is a member of the FIA (Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile) and currently has 3.9 million members, to whom it offers a vast range of services related to roadside assistance and tourism and mobility sector services.

Each year, together with “Stichting Natuur &Milieu”, the main non-governmental organisation dealing with environmental issues, the Royal Dutch Touring Club ANWB presents its Top Ten, which makes purchasing recommendations to a vast public so that they can drive in the most eco-friendly way possible, with the lowest emissions level.

The two green awards won by Fiat Professional add to the long Fiat Group Automobiles list of important international awards which confirm its constant commitment to eco-compatible mobility, a strategy which has made Fiat undisputed leader in Europe: in the last five years, Fiat is the brand that has recorded the lowest level of CO2 emissions from cars sold in Europe, with an average value of 118.2 g/km in 2011 (4.9 g/km less than the average in 2010).
