Honda sets all-time calendar year production records for automobile production worldwide, overseas, in North America, and in Asia

Production in Japan experienced a year-on-year decrease for the first time in two years (since 2011).

Production in regions outside of Japan experienced a year-on-year increase for the second consecutive year (since 2012), setting an all-time record for calendar year production. This includes all-time records for calendar year production in North America, the United States, Asia, and China.

Worldwide production experienced a year-on-year increase for the second consecutive year (since 2012), setting an all-time record for calendar year production.

December 2013

Production in Japan for the month of December 2013 experienced a year-on-year increase for the fourth consecutive month (since September 2013).

Production in regions outside of Japan experienced a year-on-year increase for the 23rd consecutive month (since February 2012), setting record high production for the month of December. This includes record high production in the United States, Asia, and China.

Worldwide production experienced a year-on-year increase for the fifth consecutive month (since August 2013).

Total domestic automobile sales in the calendar year 2013 experienced a year-on-year increase for the second consecutive year (since 2012).

Sales of new vehicle registrations experienced a year-on-year decrease for the first time in two years (since 2011).

Sales of mini-vehicles experienced a year-on-year increase for the second consecutive year (since 2012), setting an all-time record for calendar year record.

Fit was the industry’s third best-selling car among new vehicle registrations for the calendar year 2013 with sales of 181,410 units. Freed was the industry’s ninth best-selling car with sales of 68,372 units. Step WGN was the industry’s 10th best-selling car with sales of 62, 204 units.

N-BOX was the industry’s top-selling car among mini-vehicles for the calendar year 2013 with sales of 234,998 units. N-ONE was the industry’s seventh best-selling car with sales of 107,584 units.

December 2013

Total Japan domestic market automobile sales for the month of December 2013 experienced a year-on-year increase for the fifth consecutive month (since August 2013).

New vehicle registrations experienced a year-on-year increase for the fourth consecutive month (since September 2013).

Sales of mini-vehicles experienced a year-on-year increase for the 24th consecutive month (since January 2012).

Fit was the industry’s top selling car among new vehicle registrations for the month of December 2013 with sales of 22,573 units. Odyssey was the industry’s eighth best-selling car with sales of 5,006 units.

N-BOX was the industry’s second best-selling car in the mini-vehicle category for the month of December 2013 with sales of 18,128 units. N-WGN was the industry’s seventh best-selling car with sales of 8,600 units. N-ONE was the industry’s 10th best-selling car with sales of 6,737 units.
