– Total Japanese sales experienced a year-on-year decrease for the second consecutive year.
– New vehicle registrations experienced a year-on-year decrease for the fourth consecutive year.
– Mini-vehicles experienced a year-on-year decrease for the second consecutive year.
– Fit was the industry’s sixth best-selling car among new vehicle registrations for April 2020 – March 2021 with sales of 94,311 units. Freed was the industry’s eighth best-selling car with sales of 73,368 units.
– N-BOX was the industry’s top-selling car among mini-vehicles for April 2020 – March 2021 with sales of 197,900 units. N-WGN was the industry’s tenth best-selling car with sales of 61,421 units.

March 2021

– Total Japanese sales experienced a year-on-year increase for the first time in two months.
– New vehicle registrations experienced a year-on-year decrease for the second consecutive month.
– Mini-vehicles experienced a year-on-year increase for the first time in two months.
– Freed was the industry’s eighth best-selling car among new vehicle registrations for the month of March 2021 with sales of 9,764 units. Fit was the industry’s tenth best-selling car with sales of 9,231 units.
– N-BOX was the industry’s top-selling car in the mini-vehicle category for the month of March 2021 with sales of 27,164 units.
