The China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) has recently released automobile production and sales information in September. GWM sold 66,000 units in September, up 17 percent year on year and up 8 percent month on month. In the first nine months, GWM sold a total of 555,000 units, up 28 percent year on year, ranking 8th in the industry and retaining its sales title among independent brands.
In segments, Great Wall SUV performed strongly in September with sales of 38,000 units, retaining its monthly sales title among SUV models. Great Wall H6 still fell short of demand with sales of 21,000 units, up 40 percent year on year. Great Wall M4 showed strong momentum with sales of 12,000 units, up nearly 60 percent year on year. In terms of cars, Great Wall C30 was steady with sales of nearly 10,000 units. Great Wall C50 showed strong stamina with sales of 6,000 units, up 45 percent year on year. With the advent of the peak season and the gradual climb in output, sales of Great Wall C50 are expected to further rise in the fourth quarter.
In the first nine months, GWM sold a record 555,000 units, including 299,000 SUV units, up 57 percent year on year, 159,000 cars, up 10 percent year on year and 98,000 Wingle pickups, almost even with the same period of the previous year. According to sources, with the gradual rise in the output of Great Wall C50 and the launch of new models, GWM is likely to maintain steady growth in the fourth quarter.
In the favorable sales situation, GWM places after-sales service improvement high on the agenda of brand development. A person in charge of GWM said, GWM will continue making great efforts in product quality and after-sales service, implementing the customer-oriented policy, taking various measures in parallel, intensifying presales and after-sales management, and offering good after-sales services to accomplish honest operations.
