Geely Automobile Holding Limited (Group) announced that the the total sales volume of the Group (including the sales volume of LYNK & CO-branded vehicles sold by the Group’s 50%-owned joint venture) for the month of August 2021 was 88,348 units, a decrease of approximately 22% from the same period last year and down approximately 11% from July 2021. During the month of August 2021, despite the impact of the epidemic in some regions and the global shortage of chip supply affecting the Group’s delivery volume, the retail sales volume of the Group in the month of August 2021 still reached record high for the same period. Of the total sales volume in August 2021, 8,201 units were new energy vehicles, an increase of around 24% from the same period last year. The Group’s exports volume was down approximately 2% year-on-year to 6,225 units in the month of August 2021. During the month of August 2021, the Group’s total sales volume in the China market was 82,123 units, a decrease of around 23% from the same period last year. The total sales volume in the first eight months of 2021 was 817,860 units, an increase of approximately 9% from the same period last year, achieving 53% of the Group’s full year sales volume target of 1,530,000 units in 2021.
The Spokesman of Geely Automobile said, “During the month of August 2021, the total sales volumes of sedans, sport utility vehicles (SUVs) and multi-purpose vehicles (MPVs) were 29,792 units, 57,237 units and 1,319 units, respectively.”
During the same period, the total sales volume of LYNK & CO-branded vehicles was 6,039 units. The total sales volume of LYNK & CO-branded vehicles in the first eight months of 2021 was 132,137 units, an increase of approximately 52% from the same period last year.
Save as the sales volume disclosed above, during the month of August 2021, the shipping volume of the Group’s exports of LYNK & CO-branded vehicles, namely “01 HEV” and “01 PHEV” to the European market was 900 units, and the LYNK & CO-branded vehicles were exported to the Asia-Pacific region for the first time. The total shipping volume in the first eight months of 2021 was 5,948 units and a total of 1,000 units of vehicle were delivered to its subscription customers in the European market under its innovative subscription model** so far this year.
