FAW Group Corporation (FAW) announced on Jan 10 that its annual output in 2013 reached 2.938 million units, an increase of 10.5 percent over the previous year.
FAW-Volkswagen, a joint venture between FAW Group and Volkswagen AG, manufactured 1.539 million vehicles in 2013, an increase of 14.1 percent year-on-year; FAW Jiefang, FAW’s medium and heavy-duty truck manufacturer, produced 190,000 units, an increase of 23.7 percent over the last year; FAW Car, mainly produced home-grown Hongqi, Besturn brand cars and foreign brand of Mazda cars, realized 250,000 units, an increase of 39.6 percent year-on-year; Changchun Fengyue Company, a joint venture between FAW and Toyota, produced 109,000 units, up 291 percent over year 2012.
