The latest technology and advancements, as well as market growth projections for electric powertrain technologies are just a few of the items on the agenda at the SAE 2013 Electric Powertrain Technologies Symposium.

The symposium – which is the only event with an exclusive focus on the electric powertrain – will be held March 12, 2013 at the Hyatt Regency Indianapolis, Indianapolis, Ind., and will feature a lineup of well-known speakers. In addition, attendees will hear a comprehensive overview of the growing electric powertrain field, along with the burgeoning marketplace for this technology.

The keynote presentation will be delivered by Dr. Samit Ghosh, president and CEO of P3 North America, Inc. Dr. Ghosh is responsible for leading the company’s growth in the U.S. automotive industry, especially in the fields of alternative powertrain and vehicle electronics. He is experienced in automotive product development, management processes, program management, technology and innovation management and international development cooperation.   Other interactive sessions will include:

– OEM Reports: Learn about the latest developments from OEM industry leaders, led by General Motors.

– Electric Motors Reports: Gain further insight into electric motors, including cost considerations and magnet pricing, from Remy Inc., Parker Hannifin Corporation,  Arnold Magnetic Technologies and GMW Associates.
