- Oliver Jung, currently Member of the Executive Board Operations Worldwide and Manufacturing Methods Development, is set to take over Dr. Schuff‘s responsibilities in addition to his own.
Dr. Gerhard Schuff (60), Member of the Executive Board Purchasing at Schaeffler AG, will be retiring from the company for personal reasons at the end of September in order to dedicate himself to other tasks.
Dr. Schuff joined the Schaeffler Group as Senior Vice President Purchasing in September 2008, and was appointed to the position of Member of the Executive Board Purchasing in 2011. Dr. Schuff played a decisive role in the positive development that the Schaeffler Group has undergone over the last few years. The achievements that can be attributed to him include the successful establishment of the purchasing cooperation between the Schaeffler Group and Continental, which has allowed both companies to save hundreds of millions every year.
“We regret that our Executive Board colleague Dr. Schuff has decided to leave the company, but we respect his personal decision to retire and would like to thank him for his outstanding work and numerous services to the company. We wish him the very best for the future”, said Dr. Juergen M. Geissinger, CEO of Schaeffler AG.
Dr. Schuff’s responsibilities will be taken over by Oliver Jung (51), Member of the Executive Board Operations Worldwide and Manufacturing Methods Development. Mr. Jung joined the Schaeffler Group in 2008 after previously working at Robert Bosch GmbH and Schmitz Cargobull AG.
