Dana Holding Corporation (NYSE: DAN) today announced that Jacqueline A. “Jacqui” Dedo, chief strategy officer, was elected chair of the board of directors of the Original Equipment Suppliers Association (OESA) for the 2012-2013 term.

OESA is the leading industry organization for automotive suppliers to advance their business interests.  It serves as a resource for industry information and acts as a strong voice for positive change.  Dedo has served on the OESA board for more than six years, most recently as vice chairman for the 2011-12 term.

“The entire Dana organization congratulates Jacqui.  It is an honor to have our peers in the industry elect her to this important role,” said Roger Wood, Dana president and chief executive officer.  “As the industry continues to deal with a fluctuating global economy, legislative demands, and changing consumer needs, Jacqui will leverage her experience, relationships, and industry knowledge to help suppliers remain competitive – while continuing to deliver innovations to the marketplace.”

“We are excited to have someone with Jacqui’s knowledge and passion leading the OESA Board of Directors for 2012-2013,” said Neil De Koker, OESA president and CEO. “Jacqui brings nearly 30 years of leadership experience within the automotive industry.  This has proven to be very valuable to our board and translates to increased value to our association’s member companies.”

Dedo joined Dana in 2008 after more than 20 years in leadership roles within the automotive industry.  As chief strategy officer, she is responsible for leading the development and delivery of Dana’s global business plans across the organization’s four business units – Light Vehicle Driveline Technologies, Commercial Vehicle Driveline Technologies, Off-Highway Driveline Technologies, and Power Technologies.

Prior to joining Dana, she served as senior vice president of innovation and growth at The Timken Company.  She joined Timken in 2004 as president of the Global Automotive Group.  She also has served in leadership roles at Motorola, Covisint LLC, Robert Bosch Corporation, and General Motors’ Cadillac division.

Dedo earned a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Kettering University in Flint, Mich.  In addition to OESA, she serves or has served on the boards of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), Kettering University, The International Federation of Automotive Engineering Societies (FISITA), and the Michigan Science Center.

She has been involved in numerous charitable organizations, is a member of the Kettering University Alumni Hall of Fame, and since 2005 has been named one of the top 100 women in the automotive industry by Automotive News.
