Daimler Buses kicks off international market launch of Euro VI bus and coach range

With a total of six trade show premieres – from the Sprinter minibus through to the super-high-deck touring coach – Daimler Buses has completed the initial launch of its bus and coach range featuring Euro VI exhaust technology at “Busworld Kortrijk”. Immediately following the trade show in Belgium, all of the vehicles celebrating their premieres have now headed off to take part in numerous market launch activities being held throughout Europe.

As part of these the Mercedes-Benz brand will be presenting the Travego two-axle touring coach, the compact Tourismo K, the Intouro in a variety of new lengths, the Citaro LE and also the Sprinter Travel at a number of events including customer presen­tations and exhibitions. The Setra brand is starting its inter­national market launch with models which include the Setra TopClass 500 as well as the S 431 DT double-decker bus from the TopClass 400 series.

All of the bus and coach operators who were unable to visit the trade show in Belgium will have from 7 – 10 November 2013 to see the Mercedes-Benz premiere vehicles at the Mercedes-Benz Bus & Coach Show (MOT) 2013. And at the Setra Show being held in Neu-Ulm from 16 to 17 November, the Setra brand will once again be presenting the compete exhibition range from Kortrijk and also offering the opportunity for test drives in the Setra TopClass 500. In addition, both brands will be showing their products at a variety of different association and symposium events in Germany and Austria, as well as at in-house exhibitions organised by EvoBus subsidiaries in Italy and Switzerland.

The international market launch will be rounded off with the “Driving Experience 2014” to be held in March next year, at which bus oper­ators will once again be able to experience the buses of both brands first hand in a variety of test drives at the Hockenheimring circuit.
