Chrysler Canada today announced its 46th-consecutive month of year-over-year sales growth, the longest streak in the Company’s history. September sales totaled 19,858 vehicles, a 2% increase over the 19,555 vehicles sold the same month a year ago.

“At Chrysler Canada, we are delivering vehicles throughout the country that hit the sweet spot of the market with their fuel efficient, stylish, capable and affordable appeal,” said Dave Buckingham, Chief Operating Officer, Chrysler Canada.

“September 2013 marks the best calendar-year-to-date sales results in 13 years. This year is shaping up to be one of our best on record.”

Passenger car demand remains strong with the 40,377 vehicles sold so far this year representing an 18% increase over the same period in 2012. Sales leaders in September were the Chrysler 200, which was up 2% to 969 units, and the Dodge Avenger, up 44% to 670 units. The Chrysler 200 also achieved a September sales record.

The Dodge Dart also set a September sales record with 683 vehicles sold, representing a 13% increase over the prior year.

The Dodge Grand Caravan and Chrysler Town & Country continue to dominate their segment, accounting for more than 60% of the minivan market in Canada. The Chrysler Town & Country set a September record with sales up 180% to 454 vehicles.

Since the introduction of the all new Ram 1500 late last year, Ram Trucks has continued to set new records. September 2013 sales totaled 6,285 vehicles,
representing a 13% increase over the prior year and an all-time September record.
