The world’s first – and so far only – independent automotive test facility for developing active safety systems recently opened a few miles from Gothenburg, in Sweden. It is expected to play a pivotal role in the development of autonomous driving vehicles which, by common consent, are as inevitable as death and taxes: the only dispute seems to be how quickly they will become commonplace, and to what extent.
