Volvo Cars’ manufacturing footprint expands to the US

Volvo Cars already has manufacturing operations in Europe and Asia. The OEM has now decided to enter North America as well, with plans for a new manufacturing plant in the country

Swedish car manufacturer Volvo Cars, owned by China's Zhejiang Geely Holding since 2010, has announced its decision to build a new manufacturing facility in the US. This project will entail investment of US$500m. The OEM is yet to decide on the actual location of this plant, but has shortlisted potential spots.
