Volkswagen Truck & Bus takes three-pronged approach for future trucking

Michael Nash reports from the Volkswagen Truck & Bus Innovation Day, where the OEM's focus is on autonomous, connected and clean transportation

“Driving transportation to the next level” is the slogan adopted by Volkswagen Truck & Bus at its Innovation Day held on 11 October 2017 in Hamburg, Germany. The group, which is made up of MAN, Scania, Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus, RIO, and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, hopes to do this by developing autonomous, connected and clean truck technology, and used the event to unveil its latest efforts in the three areas.
