UAW’s Buy America campaign to encourage local investment

Encouraging the purchase of locally built vehicles can only go so far when many brands are shifting small car production overseas, but Dennis Williams is confident in the 'purchasing power' of US shoppers. By Megan Lampinen

Price, fuel economy, brand cache - these are all typical priority areas for new vehicle shoppers. But what about origin of production? For the US, the UAW thinks locally-made brands and models should come first, and it is working on a marketing campaign to spread the message.
