Tenth gen Honda Civic turns from tepid to bold

How will this iconic model fare in a market that has clearly shifted from small and mid-size cars to small and mid-size SUVs and trucks?

Honda has taken the wraps off its new Civic, a model that has served as a benchmark for the compact segment but one that now faces an uphill battle in a market dominated by SUVs and pick-ups. A concept of the 2016 coupe version was shown in March at the New York Auto Show, but the real thing has now taken the stage. The sedan is the first in a new range that will be the most diverse yet, including a sedan, coupe, high-performance Si models, a five-door hatchback and the first-ever Civic Type-R model for the US market.
