Tata's RT Wasasn, head of International Business for the CV operations, speaks to Automotive World on Tata's efforts to become a truly global player

Tata Motors is counting more than ever on global expansion for the commercial vehicle (CV) side of its business. While its medium and heavy line-up has benefitted from lower fuel prices and positive economic sentiment, the light commercial vehicle segment has been hit by low transportation tonnage and vehicle over-capacity as well as constrained financing environment. As a result, its total CV sales contracted 8.5% year-over-year in fiscal Q3.
