SUVs to reignite America’s love for VW

VW's Herbert Diess and Michael Horn shed light on the company's new brand strategy for the US market

Volkswagen is counting on a slew of new, fuel-efficient SUVs to save its brand in the US and is currently holding up the new plug-in hybrid Tiguan GTE Active Concept in Detroit as an indication of things to come. Addressing media at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), head of Volkswagen Passenger Cars Herbert Diess expressed confidence in the new brand focus.
