Summer hols slow EU sales growth

August is a traditionally slow month for car sales in Europe, and several leading markets saw sales declines.

August is the month of summer holidays for much of Europe, and daily routines are set aside for a more leisurely pace of life. This extends to the automotive industry, and sales during the month are traditionally slow. This August proved no exception, and though the market clearly shifted down a gear it still managed to maintain year-on-year growth.
