Convincing customers to switch to EVs – the challenges are many

There is ever growing concern over CO2 limits, and the need to reduce them. Ever more stringent fuel economy and emissions regulations are increasing pressure on OEMs and suppliers, presenting both challenges and opportunities for innovative technology. Many OEMs either already offer, or are planning to offer electric vehicles (EVs), but is there the desire for them from consumers used to the long range, easy refuelling, and readily available infrastructure of a conventional engine?
