MEGATRENDS USA 2014: VW's Douglas Skorupski presents the OEM’s flexible approach for the future and new diesel engine

It is becoming increasingly clear to OEMs and suppliers that there is no silver bullet, and a host of technologies will be required to move from one stringent CO2 emissions target to the next. Different companies are backing different technologies, and often focusing on improving what has historically been their area of expertise. At the recent Automotive World's Megatrends USA 2014 conference, which took place on 18 March 2014 in Dearborn, Michigan, experts from the Center for Advanced Automotive Technology, VW of America, Achates Power and Dow Corning Automotive Solutions discussed fuel economy and emissions reduction.
