Shiloh expands aluminium casting, grows footprint through China JV

A joint venture in China is expanding Shiloh’s aluminium casting capabilities

Many suppliers are seeking to expand their footprint within key markets in order to better meet the requirements of their OEM customers.

Shiloh Industries, a global supplier of lightweighting, noise and vibration solutions, has announced plans to open a new aluminium casting plant in Nantong, China. This new plant will be operated through a joint venture (JV) with Suzhou Sanji Foundry Equipment Co, where Shiloh will stand as the majority shareholder with 55% equity. The aim of this JV is to manufacture Shiloh’s CastLight products through high-pressure die-casting and proprietary squeeze casting.
