Shared, electric, autonomous – Denver shuttle tackles multiple urban challenges

Denver reinforces its reputation as a hotbed of advanced mobility with the launch of a self-driving shuttle pilot. By Megan Lampinen

It’s not every city that celebrates a ‘Connected and Autonomous Vehicle Day’, but last year Denver did. Colorado's outgoing Governor John Hickenlooper designated 4 December 2017 to reinforce a range of advanced technology projects within the transport sector. Panasonic was keen to highlight its capabilities in vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-infrastructure projects, while EasyMile demonstrated its upcoming autonomous electric shuttle capabilities. Nearly one year on, the city is gearing up for the public launch of the self-driving shuttle service.
