Scania bets on biofuels for India

MEGATRENDS INDIA 2014: There is enough biomass to go from waste to fuel and energy in India, says Krister Thulin of Scania Commercial Vehicles India

Air pollution is now worse in the biggest Indian cities than in China, and more people die from air pollution than from traffic accidents, according to Krister Thulin, Presales and Marketing Director, Scania Commercial Vehicles India. At Automotive World’s Megatrends India conference, Thulin outlined the future powertrain options for the commercial vehicle industry in India, addressing the challenges of  increasing urbanisation, rising CO2 levels and air pollution in his presentation Sustainable transport and low emissions”.
