Various OEMs have said they expect to have autonomous cars ready for launch by or in 2020. With the first day of 2020 just over four years away, Automotive World set out to explore the likelihood of autonomous cars being available, and if not, when indeed such vehicles might be accessible to consumers. Ahead of the publication of an Automotive World report asking whether we can expect to see autonomous cars in 2020, we publish in full an interview with one of the report’s contributors, Mike Thoeny, Managing Director of Delphi Electronic Controls Europe.
