Russian auto manufacturing segment to see further decline in output levels

With the Russian automotive market continuing to decline and the rouble weakening significantly, the country's Minister for Industry and Trade has forecast a 10% decline in new car production in 2015

Passenger car and light commercial vehicle sales in Russia fell by 11.6% year-on-year in the January-November 2014 period to 2,220,751 units. Factors such as the geo-political situation in Russia, the Ukraine/Crimea issue and the sanctions imposed by the West on Russia have all had a role in damaging consumer confidence here.
