Could a new charging pedestal encourage EV adoption?

New charging technologies are instrumental in the growth of the EV segment

Charging infrastructure is often referred to as a factor hindering the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs). While some critics suggest there are too few stations to support EV drivers, others think that the charging stations, like the EVs themselves, are currently too expensive.

But new charging applications are being introduced to the market all the time, many of which are cheaper and more reliable. For example, California-based manufacturer of charging solutions ClipperCreek has just launched the world’s cheapest charging station pedestal for US$434. The company is confident that the product could help bring the cost of new stations down significantly without compromising on durability.
