Plummeting rouble halts imports and sales in Russia

Declining demand forced OEMs to cut local production earlier in the year; now the drop in the rouble has led to OEMs suspending wholesales to Russia, as well as imports

November 2014 saw sales of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles in Russia fall by 1.1% year-on-year, down to 229,439 units. For the year to the end of November, the drop was sharper, at -11.6% compared with the January-November period last year, down to 2,220,751 vehicles.
