Utilities and pick-ups are undoubtedly stealing an ever larger share of the US light vehicle market, but the car segment is not to be written off entirely. In May, the US new vehicle market saw a 12% fall in cars countered by a nearly 14% rise in utilities. In the midst of this segment shift, there is one notable exception - performance cars.
