One-size-fits-all: Kodiak wants to scale its self-driving tech across the globe

Autonomous trucking could improve safety and efficiency worldwide: that is why the development of generic systems is vital, says Kodiak. By Xavier Boucherat

A recent announcement from Kodiak Robotics, the California-based self-driving truck developer, revealed that the company will team up with the South Korean conglomerate SK Group to pursue opportunities in Asia’s US$1.5tr freight market. Kodiak hopes the partnership will spur the sale of its self-driving technology among Asian fleets and truckmakers, while also granting it access to SK’s own components and technologies.
