As many expected, Renault is joining in on the Nissan and Mitsubishi collaboration, looking to tap into savings from shared products and production. Back in June, French newspaper Le Figaro reported an unnamed Renault executive as stating that a joint project with Mitsubishi was under consideration, possibly along the lines of the cooperation arrangement it has with Daimler’s Mercedes.
