New VW policy opens up Chattanooga plant to union representation

Volkswagen Chattanooga establishes Community Organization Engagement policy, paving the way for interactions with labour organisations.

In mid-2014, the United Auto Workers (UAW) union took one step closer to representation at Volkswagen Group's vehicle manufacturing facility in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The union formed UAW Local 42, a new local chapter set up specifically to provide representation for employees at this facility.
