August is holiday time in Europe, but it didn't hold back sales growth. The latest data from ACEA show a 10% year-on-year (YoY) rise in new passenger car registrations to 819,126 units. The association described the total as "impressive", particularly considering that August is normally one of the weakest volume months of the year. This total marks a solid improvement from the 1.4% dip recorded in July, which ended a 34-month growth streak.
