Lexus counts on product pillars to battle home court advantage in Europe

The European car market is home to some of the best known luxury brands in the world, and can prove daunting for new entrants. Toyota's Lexus brand has struggled with low brand recognition in the region for years, but is starting to make a real turnaround. Thanks in part to the new NX crossover, Lexus sales in Europe last year nearly returned to peak levels not seen since 2006/2007, and 2016 is expected to bring in a new record.

Alain Uyttenhoven, Head of Lexus Europe, spoke to Automotive World about the latest brand developments in the pivotal European luxury market.
