Sigrid de Vries is Secretary General at the European Association of Automotive Suppliers (CLEPA). On the current crisis, she does not pull punches: COVID-19, and the resulting economic downturn, means there are tough times ahead for Europe’s automotive industry. State support, industry co-operation and hard decisions on the part of the major players will all be necessary should Europe want to lead on smart sustainable mobility.
