Eaton’s powertrain collaboration with Cummins – branded SmartAdvantage – was announced almost a year ago. Of late, it has seen an extension to its portfolio with the two companies unveiling a new powertrain package for the North American heavy-duty truck market. Expected to deliver fuel economy improvements ranging between 2-4%, lower preventative maintenance costs, and total lifecycle cost improvements, the new product integrates an Eaton Fuller Advantage Series 10-speed automated transmission with Cummins ISX12 diesel engine with SmartTorque2 ratings….
