Etienne Henry is the Vice President in charge of Product Strategy and Planning for Nissan in Europe. He looks at the long-term strategy portfolio management over a five-year horizon, considering what vehicles will be needed in the future, market trends, customer needs, business drivers, and brand direction. Every project Henry works on becomes a car which needs developing. Henry’s team is in charge of vehicle competitiveness, negotiating with designers, engineers, marketing, sales, and finance to transform the idea and the concept into a completed car. Henry took time at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show to talk to Automotive World about alternative powertrains, the success of the crossover segment, and Nissan’s EVs.
