May showed continued improvements in India's passenger car market. The steady momentum comes on the back of a 1% increase in light vehicle sales in the country in 2014, after a 6.7% decline in 2013. Despite this apparent recovery in sales, the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) remains cautious, and feels that the country's automotive market is on a slow recovery mode.
