Hyundai quiet in light of EV range speculations

Hyundai needs an EV model with greater range, but the OEM isn't confirming any speculation at the moment. By Megan Lampinen

Hyundai is keeping quiet on speculation surrounding new electric vehicle (EV) models, but it's clear the OEM is positioning itself to offer various alternative fuel options. Reuters recently reported that the manufacturer was preparing to launch an EV with a 200-250 mile range - considerably larger than the 155-mile range model it has confirmed. "There is no official endorsement of this story at this stage," the company told Automotive World.
