Heart vs head: Alfa Romeo Giulia takes on German rivals with ‘mechanics of emotion’

Fiat's Alfa Romeo is counting on 'la meccanica delle emozioni' to combat more established segment players, but not everyone is moved

FCA has unveiled the long-awaited Alfa Romeo Giulia at an event on 24 June in the newly-refurbished Alfa Romeo Museum, coinciding with the 105th anniversary of the brand's founding.

The D-segment sedan borrows the name used on a popular Alfa Romeo sports sedan from the 1960s and 1970s. The latest version replaces the 159 model, which was sold only in Europe and discontinued four years ago. The project has been delayed several times over the years and details have been kept very quiet during development.
