GM sneaks a reduction in powertrain warranty

Industry experts believe the knock-on effect of GM's decision to reduce its powertrain warranty on its consumers will be minimal

General Motors is preparing to cut its powertrain warranty coverage from 100,000 to 60,000 miles on Chevrolet and GMC vehicles for the 2016 model year. Although this raises questions about the OEM’s strategy, industry experts believe that consumers are unlikely to notice the change.
