Forget the van - mobility players are keen to explore bikes, motorcycles and flying vehicles to fill the last mile gap. By Megan Lampinen

The challenge for last mile logistics is on. E-commerce is growing rapidly, and urban populations are increasing every year, while at the same time cities are clamping down on noise and emissions levels. For transport providers, innovative technology and fresh approaches to traditional goods movement is needed, and quick. In some cases, that may entail ditching the delivery van in favour of the electric scooter. In others, it could mean leaving the roadways behind and forging new routes in the sky.
