Light vehicle sales in the US ended 2014 on a strong note, rising 10.8% year-on-year in December to more than 1.5 million units, putting the seasonally adjusted annualised rate (SAAR) at 16.92 million units, according to Autodata. December 2014 had one more sales day compared to December 2013. For the full-year, sales in the country rose 5.9%.
