First quarterly profit for Navistar since 2012

Navistar pulled off a strong quarter in a tough environment, but has lowered its full-year guidance in expectation of deteriorating market conditions. By Megan Lampinen

Navistar has just reported its first quarterly profit since the third quarter (Q3) of 2012 despite a double-digit drop in revenue and generally challenging market conditions. "This quarter begins to demonstrate the earnings potential of this company," Chief Executive Troy Clarke told analysts.
