Fields says “stronger Ford” to come from new UAW deal

It barely squeaked by ratification but Ford's new four-year labour deal should put its costs closer to domestic rivals and promises greater flexibility

UAW workers at Ford have ratified a new four-year labour deal, paving the way for parity on labour costs with the OEM's domestic rivals. The vote was a close one, with support from 51.3% of production workers and 52.4% of skilled trades, passing with an overall 51.4%.
